2.0-8.0 GHz PIN-Schottky Diode Limiter Specifications — ESL2080A2
2.0-8.0 GHz PIN-Schottky diode limiter ESL2080A2 from Eclipse MDI provides broadband RF and microwave receiver protection across the 2 GHz to 8 GHz frequency range. This passive, connectorized limiter uses PIN-Schottky diode technology to help reduce excessive RF input signal power before it reaches sensitive receiver circuitry. Published electrical specifications include 1.4 dB typical insertion loss, 1.6:1 typical VSWR, +18 dBm maximum CW leakage power and +20 dBm maximum peak leakage power. The ESL2080A2 incorporates an internal DC block and has a typical recovery time of 200 microseconds. Product features specify 1 watt CW input power and 100 watts peak input power under defined pulse conditions of 1 microsecond pulse width and 0.1% duty cycle. Engineers evaluating this limiter should consider impedance matching, signal-path loss, limiting threshold, output leakage power, recovery performance and applicable input power limits. Refer to the latest approved ESL2080A2 datasheet for complete specifications, mechanical dimensions and operating requirements.
